Wholesale Data Recovery for Local IT Shops & MSPs

    Short answer

We run component-level data recovery as a wholesale service for repair shops and MSPs across Northeast Houston. You keep the client and the billing, we return the files and the original media to you, and partner jobs get a priority 24-48 hour evaluation.

Most independent shops and small MSPs do not own imaging hardware or component-level tools, so a failed drive becomes an awkward conversation: decline the job, or ship it out of state and wait three weeks. This is the third option. Send it to a local lab that works at trade pricing, never contacts your client, and hands the files back to you.

    • Wholesale trade pricing — you bill your client and keep the margin
    • Or a referral commission — we bill the client, you get paid per job
    • Priority 24-48 hour evaluation on partner jobs
    • Written no-poaching guarantee on repair and managed-IT clients
    • Read-only imaging before any recovery attempt
    • Files and original media come back to you, not your client
    • Local drop-off — no out-of-state shipping for most jobs

Why shops ship drives out of state

A clicking drive or a dead NVMe module needs imaging hardware that only makes sense if you run recoveries every week. Nobody buys that to use it twice a year. So the job goes to a national mail-in lab. The drive leaves your shop, the turnaround is quoted in weeks, the price arrives after your client has already gone quiet, and you spend the whole time answering for a process you cannot see. Meanwhile the one thing your client actually wanted — their files — is the part you had no way to deliver.

    How the wholesale model works

Four steps, and your client never leaves your shop's orbit: 1. You drop off or send the media with a short note on what happened and what the client needs most. 2. We evaluate it — the standard $50 diagnostic, prioritised to 24-48 hours for partners — and image read-only wherever the hardware allows. 3. You get a trade price for the recovery itself, quoted per job once we know what failed, plus a plain-language summary of the odds. You add your margin and quote your client whatever you choose. 4. On approval we recover, then return the recovered data and the original media to you. If we recover no usable data there is no recovery fee. We do not quote a firm recovery price before seeing the device, and we do not promise that every drive is recoverable — you will get a straight answer about the odds instead.

The no-poaching guarantee, in plain terms

Referral relationships in this trade usually die for one reason: the lab decides it would rather have the client. So, explicitly: we do not solicit your repair clients, your managed-IT clients, or your contracts. We do not market computer repair, break-fix, or managed services to anyone you send us. We do not add them to a mailing list. We do not follow up after the job. The data recovery is the whole engagement, and the client relationship stays yours. The only time we need to speak to your client directly is when the data itself requires it — an encryption password or BitLocker key we cannot work around, for instance — and we ask you first and let you broker that conversation.

What we handle, and what gets escalated

In house: hard drives, SSDs and NVMe, external and USB media, SD and camera cards, RAID arrays and NAS volumes, phones, deleted and formatted volumes, and encrypted containers where you can supply the key. Escalated: clean-room platter work, severe physical trauma, and some controller or firmware failures. Those go to a specialist, and only after you approve the extra cost in writing. We tell you when a job is heading that way rather than discovering it at invoice time. Ransomware is a different problem with a different answer: containment and incident response belong with a security specialist before anyone attempts file recovery. We will say so plainly rather than quietly imaging an actively encrypted machine.

    Turnaround and how we communicate

Partner evaluations are prioritised to 24-48 hours. Recovery time itself depends entirely on what failed — a logical recovery can be same-week, a RAID rebuild or an escalated clean-room job is quoted with its own timeline, and we would rather give you a real date than an optimistic one. Status goes to one named contact at your shop by text or email, in language you can forward to your client without editing.

    Who this is for

Independent computer repair shops, break-fix techs, and small managed-service providers in Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, Spring, Porter, New Caney, Conroe, and the wider Northeast Houston metro. There are two lanes. Wholesale: you handle the client billing, we quote you trade pricing, and you set your own price. Referral commission: you would rather not touch the billing, so we quote and invoice the client directly for the recovery only, and pay you a commission on every completed job you send. The no-poaching guarantee applies to both. Pick one on the form below; you can switch per job.

    Become a partner

Tell us about your shop and how you would like to work. We will call to set up your partner account — there is no contract, minimum volume or sign-up fee.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Will you contact or market to my client?

No. We do not solicit your repair or managed-IT clients, we do not market services to anyone you send us, and we do not follow up after the job. If the data itself requires speaking to the client — an encryption key we cannot work around — we ask you first and let you broker it.

What does partner pricing actually cost?

The evaluation is the standard $50 diagnostic, prioritised for partners. The recovery itself is quoted at trade pricing per job once we know what failed, because a logical recovery and a RAID rebuild are not the same work. You add your margin and quote your client whatever you choose.

Can I bill my client at my own price?

Yes — that is the point of the wholesale model. You hold the client relationship and the invoice. We quote you a trade price and stay out of what you charge.

Do you offer a referral commission instead of wholesale pricing?

Yes. If you would rather not handle billing, we quote and invoice your client for the data recovery only and pay you a commission on each completed job. Rates are set when your partner account is opened. The no-poaching guarantee is the same either way.

How fast is a partner evaluation?

We prioritise partner jobs to a 24-48 hour evaluation. Recovery time after that depends on the failure, and it is quoted with its own timeline rather than an estimate we cannot stand behind.

Do I get the original drive back?

Yes. The original media returns to you along with the recovered files, on whatever medium you prefer. Nothing is kept or disposed of without your say.

What happens if the drive needs a clean room?

We tell you before anything leaves, quote the escalation, and wait for your written approval. Clean-room platter work, severe physical damage, and some firmware failures go to a specialist; the rest stays in house.
